I spent a lot of time carefully rendering the digital image into a diamond painting, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with the flesh tones or the shading in the dress. I sent my image to Ever Moment, and they truly worked their magic to perfect it!

The inspiration behind this piece is rooted in the 1800s, when women would submit their profiles in catalogs to find a husband. These catalogs were a sincere and legitimate way to secure a future. Men heading out west often turned to these catalogs to find wives from the eastern U.S. The two would correspond with the goal of marriage.

In this painting, a woman from a well-to-do family has journeyed out west to a dry, desolate land, unprepared for the harsh realities of building a homestead from scratch. This piece tells her story of courage, hope, and survival.
