Mrs Carl Meyer and her children by John Singer Sargent, 1896 Jigsaw Puzzle

This is a painted portrait of Adèle Meyer (née Levis) with her two children Elsie Charlotte and Frank Cecil. Her husband, a banker, worked closely with the powerful Rothschilds and was chairman of De Beers Mining Company. The painting - which captures Mrs Meyer’s love for theater and opera. He was able to paint lushness and wealth that would define her status in society during this era. Using props from his studio such as wood paneling and lounging furniture from France, Claude Sargent paints an image that can't help but stir up envy from all who lay eyes upon it.

The puzzle comes in a glossy finish and is  printed and laminated on sturdy chipboard backing while each pack includes a reference print to easily put the puzzle together.

• Product must be in it's original condition and in original packaging. Photos must be provided of product before it is shipped back. If stating that the product is damaged, photos must be provided of the damage.
